Description

A Victorian needlework sampler worked by Felicia Wangler in 1881 at St Chad’s Convent, Birmingham. Executed in coloured threads on linen, the sampler displays alphabets, numerals, motifs, and decorative borders, typical of convent school needlework of the period. The stitching is neatly worked and retains much of its original colour.
