Description

An unusual vintage 20th century coin necessaire or manicure set. The coin is a French 5 franc piece dated 1867 with the head of Napoleon III to one side. The coin has been cut in half though the middle and then a pair of steel scissors, a blade and a nail file have been added. These implements all fold back into the coin. The blade is stamped Eloi Pernet, and was retailed by Hermes of Paris. The coin with silver hallmark. A very ingenious and unusual item, ideal to keep in a pocket. Stock Code: 1511.
