RMS. Royal Yacht- Medina
Launched 1911. Torpedoed 1917. & Sunk off Start point Loss of 8 lives 26.4.11. Announced she would be Royal Yacht to transport King George V Queen Mary to India for the Imperial Delhi Durbar 7.12.11- 16.12.11.
Sailed for Bombay 11.11.11 escorted by Cruisers, Argyle - Natal - & Cochrane + defence,White livery Blue Band extra 3 mast borrowed from Nam Kin to act as flag-mast. Arrived at Bombay 2.12.11,return voyage 10.1.12. Arrived Plymouth 5.2.12, went into Service to Australia 28.6.12.
Torpedoed by Sub UB31. 25km ENE Start point, 4th eng & Firemen Killed at 5.50pm. All passengers towed in life boats Brixham. Destroyers Spitfire - Launch attended. Sank 7.15pm
