Description

An original pen, ink and watercolour illustration of a humerous scene from the Paris-Dakar Rally. The race ran annually from 1979 to 2007 from Paris in France to Dakar in Senegal. It is now run in the Middle East. This image depicts a pilot in an old plane looking down on two polar bears and a frozen landscape. Although the image has been reframed at some point, its original title is 'Lost Wrong Turning' and was dated 2010. It is signed by the artist Andy Danks (1950-). He is well known for his depictions of racing cars. It has been reframed more recently in a simulated light wood frame. Image size is 34.5cm high by 27.5cm wide. The frame size is 56cm high by 45.5cm wide. Stock Code: 3666.
