Even when I was a young student in elementary school one of the things I always wanted to accomplish was to write a book. Before I had finished High School I had taken as many writing classes as I could do so someday I might write that Great American Novel, my friends thought doing it unnecessary but what they didn't know was how interested I was and also about how those classes then were like my favorite pastime. It was some years after Graduating that the idea of writing a book came back to me again and I began in 1989. As I wrote the book featured here I mostly tried to compose meaningful story lines which could bring back the memories from those days in the past inherently similar in plot to that in my story. With my first thoughts of writing this story I had in mind too a plan for it to reflect upon my ideas of how young adult lives could be and in most of the book it is easy reading through my detailed and enjoyable chapters. I can tell you if you like a good book to pass your time with some adventure this story will take you fictionally to a simpler time where it isn't the past or the future but what would be explained as almost completely imaginary. I started writing this book when I was 23 and had just returned from Germany where I was stationed as a Generator Mechanic (52-Delta) in the US ARMY, I had a super time writing this book! My novel Hargrove Maintenance is about a group of graduating High School guys that want to be recruited to work at their local public utilities service in the fictional small rural town of Hargrove, USA. |
