Description

A charming small antique late Victorian oil painting on panel titled 'Don't be Afraid' by Nellie Maria Ketchlee (1867-1940). The artwork depicts two children standing by the edge of a stream or pond with two swans by them. The youngest girl is holding a doll and a cottage is in the background. The painting is signed lower right Nellie M Ketchlee. It is presented in its original frame. it is titled to the reverse of the piece, as well as an address in Sussex. Further numbers and a note stating this painting was exhibited at the Royal Society of British Artists. Image size is 24.5cm high by 17cm wide. Frame size is 34.5cm high by 27cm wide.
